• Weather – perfect sunshine low 50’s to start, ending at 85. Dreaded head wind all day, 10 to 20 mph….ugh!!!

Today on paper was expected to be an easy day – both physically and for the soul. It was anything but.

First the country side is bleak – gray and amber. Plus it doesn’t change for 70 miles! Second, the wind…in your face all day!!! You pedal harder and go nowhere faster – it’s demoralizing!!! Third, my gravel off course from day before took more out of me than I thought – didn’t have the gas today to push thru the wind. Lastly, the anxiety of what tomorrow brings with 7700 feet of climbing for 20 miles – yep it’s a monster 👿

So Saturday is on to Sheridan WY thru the gates of hell that is Big Horn Pass!!!
