REST DAY NO PLANS

Today was a nothing day for bike riding but an important day for recovery, first aid supplies ( ya back there again) and gels (which meant strip to bike store, where there was a beautiful garnet Trek Madone that made your eyes water it was so pretty…..yes it was $9k and if a Trek bike box shows up at home, put it aside, it’s mine)

Madison is interesting place- college town and state government town. It is a hipster place with lots of brew pubs and coffee shops, plus a Walgreens! Ya hipster place!

Two street fairs going on – fancy one for food and a make shift on for artisans. Very friendly, congenial , folks. Interesting observation, people walk counter clockwise direction, ya heading left – just an observation!

I had gotten a recommendation to buy cheese bread that was “cheesy and spicey”. I finally found it and had to buy a loaf (smallest thing they had). It tasted good but wasn’t particularly cheese or spicey. Mike, guy from New Jersey agreed – hint of cheese and missed on spice. My take a way from WI is there pallets only like it faint!

Walked around a bunch, sat a bunch. Had lunch at appropriately named bar – the Weary Traveler Freehouse. Thunderstorm with boomers, lightening and pouring at 4:00!

Tomorrow head to Milwaukee, expected to be rainy until lunch!
