• Weather – rained all day, either spitting or dumping. Everything wet after 10 miles! Temps in mid-60’s and humid (particularly inside my rain coat!!!).

Today started wet and stayed that way! It is interesting about the east coast is the sameness – big, leafy trees covering hills in all directions. There is no compelling landmark to orient you, like a Mt. Rainer or the Olympics or Cascade mountains. I wouldn’t say it’s blah but it doesn’t have the pop.

Right now the leaves are in early stages of changing color. Every where you look the trees are full.

The ride today had several hard climbs that were supposed to be easy and one long climb that was supposed to be killer. So it was Opposite Day and with the rain, all I wanted a mile 80 was a hot shower but we were going 101, so it was a get thru suffering.

Tomorrow we hit upstate New York, Corning to be precise. Another hundie with 5 climbs.. then its rest day!!!! Yep last one!!!
