Day 48 – Celebration Time!!!

Celebration Dinner – still smiling!!!!

47 days ago I began a journey with 26 rando’s – 21 fellow riders and 5 trek travel guides, destined to cross the US on bicycles! Ya, it takes some time to make this journey. Number one topic was what’s the weather – you want to know but can’t control. From heat in the mid-90’s, the wind (oh god, Badlands PTSD), and rain (lucky only 4, maybe 5 days) – it was about reacting to what was there. Same can be said for the terrain – the climbs, rollers, grinders, serpentine decents, and the flatland (which always felt like trending up). Lastly there was the scenery – Columbia River Gorge, the majestic Rocky mountains, high plateau, farmland (corn on the right and soybeans to the left), the beauty of the Finger Lakes (I had no idea how pretty) and last, the peek of fall color in the NorthEast/New England. Hard to summarize up an amazing adventure with a fantastic group – I will just say it was BRILLIANT!!!!

To close out, here’s my fun trip data:

So that’s a wrap – hope the blog gave you some insight and made you laugh! Btw, I think my undercarriage will be healed by Christmas!

Peace Out!!!
